AwesomeWe?e not sure how, but we knew of TH Videos before we were even considering hiring a videographer (I didn? think we needed one, but DH wanted one). We had seen their work before we actually met them at a bridal fair, and then I met Anita Hughes in person to go over any remaining questions. I like that they will allow us to view the raw footage and will incorporate any ideas and input we have. I also like that they have a package with 50+ hours of editing. I must?e seen 6 or 7 demo videos, and all the ones we liked had purchased the upgraded (=more editing hours) package. Another pointer is that Thomas Hughes is the only person that does the editing. This means that all of their final work is consistent. I have heard of brides complaining about their video looking nothing like the demos they sampled. The Day-of went by real fast, and we didn't interact with the videographers (there were 2) much. We were uncertain of their work because of that, but that was quickly comforted by our photographer telling us that the videographers at our wedding is one of the hardest working she's ever worked with. She's also wanting to see our final product because she currently does not have anyone she can comfortably refer to other brides.
SIL initially referred us to her friend Alexa Lee, who has become popular on the Knot. She wasn? available on our date, but she took time to give me a crash course in how to find a good videographer. It? all in the editing, ladies. If you want a straight forward video, go for less editing hours. But if you want a good quality highlight video, get more editing hours. (If you get 5 hour coverage with 2 cameras, wouldn? it take just about 10 hours to simply view the raw footage? So what does 10 hours of editing hours get you?)
