When we met with them, they told us up front that this was not their primary job and because of that, it may take a bit longer for our video, etc. Since we liked their work and thought they were professional and courteous as well as being a great value, we decided to book them for our wedding.
They were great! People didn't even realize that we had a videographer at the wedding because they were so inconspicuous and our slide show (which they created) was awesome. They weren't allowed to video during our cocktail hour, so they worked directly with our photographer to get photos to incorporate into our video. They really went out of their way to do a good job.
Since this isn't their main gig, you can't expect instantaneous responses. But, you can expect a great finished product at a great price.
Will - 12/20/2007 AwesomeI have to disagree with the negative reviews because my experience with C3 has been excellent. They have been nothing but responsive and courteous to my emails and questions. They are extremely hardworking and I understand that they have day jobs as a lot of other vendors do, so I try not to bother my vendors as much. Also, having a wedding coordinator helps because she is able to work out the details with my vendors for me. I think investing in a wedding coordinator helps keep things running smoothly. Maybe that could be a solution for you. As far as C3 goes, they are a good vendor, a young couple, so cut 'em some slack.
Patty - 12/19/2007 AwfulI've not written such a negative review on any vendor before, but I guess this will have to be the first because I don't want anyone else to go through the same thing!
C3 is run by a young married couple (Christopher and Christine) who started out being quite nice during the initial email inquiries and meeting appointment. Things were going "okay" until when we were about to book with them. We had some questions and concerns about the contract (mainly about the delivery of the DVD because the wording seemed very open-ended) and wanted to ask them about it. On her returned call, Christine said they would get back to us on our concerns. I tried calling her back about 10 mins or so after trying to clarify something, but she did not pick up. A couple of hours later, we received an email from them that wished us luck in finding another videography service. Apparently, they decided for us that we were not truly happy with them and think that we should go with someone else?! (What the heck?!) And since then, they stopped responding (email or phone/voicemail). It's been almost two weeks since their last email. We emailed back on the same day and left a voicemail about a week later asking them to call or email us back (thought maybe there might have been some miscommunication or misunderstanding), but we have not heard a thing!!
It has been *extremely* frustrating dealing with C3 because they do not pick up their phone calls, night or weekend (they have day jobs, and I was told that Christopher is "too busy" with his day job to pick up or return any calls, even in the evenings). Emailing was somewhat responsive until they decided they don't want to reply anymore. They also never disclosed their address except that they're in Union City, so we have no other means of contact except sending emails and leaving voicemails (up to their mercy whether they want to respond or not!).
The whole process has taken over two months since the initial contact. I was being patient and was fine with communicating via emails most of the time and was putting up with the trouble of not being able to reach them by phone immediately and having to wait for returning calls. But I did not expect such rude and unprofessional treatment! If they decided that they do not want to provide the service to us anymore, at least have the courtesy to call and let us know instead of sending an unclear email and cut all communication thereafter! I'm just glad we still have time to find and book with other more professional and reliable videographers!
Even though their videos look decent, and the prices are a bit cheaper comparing to some others, it is definitely NOT worth the trouble and headaches to deal with such unprofessional vendor like C3! I would rather pay more to get better quality and service!!
