 Awesomeyour wedding day is probably the most important milestone event of any married couple's lives... for so many reasons and emotions, that only a few are lucky enough to experience. It is a rare day where so many loved ones, dear friends and family are able to come together to share in our happiness... so everything has to be just right and perfect the way you envision it. So our wedding day at Solage Calistoga was just that and we couldn't be happier. every vendor we hired and special moments event we did had some kind of significance which all added up to a nice revealing and loving narrative since it was impossible and not prudent to go into everything in one shot. But Jeff Chong, as our DJ had the most important part and simply did an amazing job leading up to and especially on the day of. We were a particularly demanding couple with a long request/must play songs list, do not play lists, complex exacting/ sequence of events including a first dance as part of our entrance, a hula dance and even a 'surprise' serenade by my dad that was totally not known to either us or Jeff... but Jeff was totally professional about it and improvised and kept the reception flow moving with the right energy, class, style and elegance befitting of the venue and our asian and mixed guest profile... it was such a schizoid diverse crowd with old asian aunites/uncles, young kids, middle age college buddies and professional co-workers, but Jeff managed it all so well, we could not be happier. AwesomeJeff played a big part in making our wedding in November 2008 a great event at the Decathlon Club. With a late afternoon wedding, cocktail reception, dinner and dancing, he came early to set up, do sound checks with our friend who sang 2 songs during the ceremony, and handle music plus emcee the whole event. He picked music for the ceremony that fit perfectly, a soundtrack for our wedding. No problems at all the whole night, and some very personal touches, including mixing a special song for our first dance. A friendly professional who is easy to work with, Jeff takes good care of you. If you have ideas about what you want, by all means tell him, but we were happy to let him make suggestions and select the music. You're busy enough and he has good taste! Hannah - 11/03/2008
AwesomeJeff is great...I left him the authority to pick all the songs for my wedding ceremony and reception... They were all great and right on for what I was looking for, classic, fun and suitable for an Asian wedding~{!-~} And he even prepared several versions of the songs that I picked. AwesomeJeff did a phenomenal job at my wedding on 8/30 in the Rincon Center. His previous experience at this venue was very helpful since he already knew where to situation his speakers so my guests could hear the music and announcements. Jeff threw in some nice dinner music, and played my requested songs at the end of the evening. Everything went according to plan, and I couldn't have asked for more. Thanks again, Jeff! AwesomeJeff worked out all the details of songs/announcements with us from day one for our wedding reception and was just wonderful. He played great music and knew just what type of music to play during dinner and then to get the guests onto the dance floor. He DJed in a tux which was a nice touch and appropriate for the occasion. AwesomeJeff did an excellent job executing our wedding. We hired him to play music at the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. It was quite a complex set-up because he had to use multiple DJ stations and had to set-up speakers in multiple rooms. One could tell that he was working hard from the time he got to the venue. He was running around setting up his speakers and the wiring was going all over the place from room to room. Jeff was also very attentive to every detail we provided him before the wedding. He made the announcments at the right time, and he stayed on top of things when the reception got behind schedule. He also went with the flow when there were some unexpected performances by the bride and groom. On top of being hard working, Jeff was masterful with the microphone. AwesomeJeff was a true professional. He helped us with the songs and put together a beautiful selections that go with our theme and personalities. During the intro, Jeff remembered every details we mentioned about our guests and made them feel special. The sound effect during the games was a nice surprise. AwesomeJeff was a true professional. Don't let his low key persona fool you. Jeff was able to identify our music tastes and deliver spot on what we wanted. We had only picked a couple of songs for the ceremony and the reception that we wanted played and Jeff helped us fill in the blanks. Jeff made recommendations and suggestions based upon our music choices but made sure that we ultimately had the final say on what we wanted or didn't want played. AwesomeExcellent music and emceeing! My wife and I were so busy handling other wedding duties that we let Jeff decide the appropriate music to play for practically the entire night. Everything went so smoothly and the music entertained the guests. We were not on schedule for our events, but Jeff made things run smoothly that no one noticed. AwesomeJeff worked around very difficult circumstances at an outdoor wedding, with separate cocktail hour and reception sites. The best man changed up the reception program on Jeff and I at the reception and Jeff was able to roll easily with it all the craziness of unplanned skits and singing performances at different spots at the reception site. AwesomeJeff is Wonderful to work with, I strongly recommend him. He's friendly, professional, very experienced, and accomodating to the style of music you want. AwesomeJeff is great, easy to work with and very accommodating. He is very professional; his voice projects very well; he had a good presence at our reception, but did not try to be the center of the attention. He also did a very good job getting the crowd going after dinner. His equipment is very integrated, and therefore does not require much room. It's a nice plus for a DJ to be able to keep things nice and neat. We met with him a few weeks before our wedding to go over music preferences, including providing him with a short list of songs that he should not play. AwesomeJeff is the bomb. We used him for our wedding and he really got the crowd up and on it's feet. What I appreciate about Jeff is his experience. Yet he doesn't seem dated and old. And who can forget that voice. It belongs on the radio. Useful Links |
