Linda and Minh - 11/20/2007
AwfulFlourishing Garden is by far at the bottom of our vendors list, which was very unfortunate for us since catering is one of the most important things to get right for a wedding. We hired Ming at Flourishing Garden to provide a traditional Chinese banquet at our reception at the Hyatt Hotel. Ming was very difficult to work with and he did not deliver what he had promised and what we had agreed upon. We paid for a 10 course meal to be served at our wedding and instead we got only 9 courses!!!! When we questioned what happened to our last course, Ming lied and said he prepared the dessert, but Hyatt did not serve it. 300 desserts just do not disappear unnoticed. Aside from missing the last course, the portions for each course was very small and cut down substantially from what we initially remembered. Hyatt has also acknowledged that Ming was such an awful vendor to work with, that he has been "X" off their approved vendors list and will never be able to cater at Hyatt again. Please beware of Ming's salesman like tactics and over exaggerated services and capabilities. I do not recommend Ming or Flourishing Garden for any event because they were not professional and did not provide the service that they were hired to do.
