I thought it would be a long shot to find a hair dresser who can communicate with my mom (speaks Japanese), but I found Keiko on the internet. I went in for a trial at her salon, and she did this curly sculpture-like hair and I was totally sold. I have a lot of hair, but they are thin and straight, so I know it couldn’t have been easy to work with. My hair stayed up all night without feeling like I had 10 cans of hairspray in it. But then, there were small stands of hair coming out randomly and that shouldn’t have been. She did my mom’s hair sort of in a french twist and put a sprig of silk flowers where the seam was. She looked great.
