AwesomeRon & Melvin have been
fantastic to work with! They were actually the only photographers we interviewed. After seeing their previous work and samples, we knew that we were in good hands. We had them do both our engagement session and wedding day. For the engagement shoot, they chose a beautiful beach location (Pigeon Point Lighthouse- south of Santa Cruz) and the weather was perfect. They enlarged one of the photos we took that day, retouched it, and had it matted and framed for us, so that we could display it on an easel at the wedding. People loved the photo. :)
For the wedding day, we did formal shots prior to the ceremony and then basically just ran with it the rest of the day. Ron & Mel are punctual, organized, detailed, and prepared (all things a nervous bride appreciates!) Before we even left on our honeymoon, they had already emailed us some shots of the wedding! Then, by the time we got back, they had produced a gorgeous proof book and a DVD slideshow for us! Depending on what you like, they can use a lot of different techniques (fish eye, sepia tone, isolating an object in color, while the rest of the picture is black & white, etc). Their pricing depends on which package you want, but they are willing to work within your budget. One of my favorite things about working with them was that they took the time to check out and aquaint themselves with the Hilton. On the day of the wedding, they knew exactly where the lighting and scenery would be best and we basically just stood there and smiled. Their prep work was fantastic! Probably the only critique we have is that sometimes Ron & Mel are too meticulous and may spend a little too much time trying to get that perfect shot. This normally would have been perfect for us, but with 5 child attendants, it got a little hectic keeping them still and entertained! We're in the process of ordering our photos now, but I'll let the digital proofs speak for themselves. We would definitely recommend Ron & Mel to anyone looking for great photographers.
